Student Open Mic Performance Opportunity
As part of the day’s programming, we are hosting student-led performances during the breakfast and lunch periods. The Open Mic is a space where students are invited to center their cultural identities, lived experiences, and creative traditions.

We welcome performances including:
- Dance
- Music
- Spoken Word
- Poetry Slam
- Cultural Performance
- Other expressive art forms
This space is intended to uplift authentic student expression and celebrate the many ways creativity can embody joy, resistance, and community.
Stipends:
To honor the time and creativity of student performers we are offering stipends:
- Individual performers: $50 stipend
- Group performances: $100 stipend
Who Can Participate:
- All currently enrolled SRJC students
- Individuals or groups (if group performance, at least one must be currently enrolled at SRJC and serve as the main contact)
- All experience levels welcome
Performance Details:
Performances will take place during the morning breakfast period and midday lunch period of the conference.
Selected performers will be contacted with performance time and logistics.
